Summer Workshops for Libraries, 2025
We ran 11 workshops across Norfolk libraries, including a day-long drop-in session for Gorleston Library, and our illustrated activities were used in a workshop in Australia.
47 children aged 8-11 and 7 parents and caregivers joined us for 10 fantasy drawing and worldbuilding workshops across Norfolk.
Participants designed, drew and wrote about their own fantasy greenhouses, and used our illustrated activity sheet, example and sticker sheet for inspiration and ideas. We also created zines about the plants, potions and stories in their greenhouses.
The workshops were created to compliment the Summer Reading Challenge 2025 theme: Story Garden
“Absolutely fantastic - engaging and a great combination of drawing and imagination. We both really enjoyed the session - thank you so much!” - Participant’s parent
These workshops were commissioned by Norfolk Libraries
Fantasy Festival at Gorleston Library
25 children and 7 parents and caregivers joined us for a drop-in fantasy worldbuilding workshop. Participants chose one of our illustrated fantasy drawing Quests to try: Adventurer character design, mapmaking or gryphon creature design.
The festival and workshop was kindly funded by the Friends of Gorleston Library
Character Design Workshop in Australia
One of our lovely customers reached out to ask if she could run a workshop at her local library using one of our activities. We excitedly sent over a digital version of our Collectors character design Quest and she ran a fully booked and very successful session.
We always welcome the opportunity to share our activities for community use, especially to those we’re unable to reach ourselves. If you’d like to run something similar, please get in touch.
