A castle is under siege. Design and draw three characters trying to survive the ordeal and fulfill their responsibilities: A fighter, a worker and a worshipper.

Learn how to communicate a character’s personality, purpose and state of mind through their design, details and clothing.

Use Norwich Castle’s museum collections to inspire your fantasy world and characters.

Explore the fundamentals of character design, and study concept art from video games, tabletop games and animation.

As part of our funded project, we're creating four new newspapers dedicated to fantasy worldbuilding, for ages 12 - 1,200.

We'll have four events over the next 12 months in the Forum Norwich, where you can pick up a free copy* and try the activities with us, or take it home to enjoy.

If you’re able to afford paying for a copy, you can subscribe to all four issues or purchase copies from our shop. For every newspaper sold we'll donate a copy to someone who is unable to afford it.

*Free copies will be limited to 150 copies per newspaper. Some will be donated to charities and community groups, and the rest will be available from the Forum drop-in events.
