How to Pre-order or Subscribe

If you’re able to pay for a copy, you can subscribe to all four issues or pre-order our Summer 2025 issue. For every newspaper sold we'll donate a copy to someone who is unable to afford it.

Free copies at the Forum, Norwich

Thanks to funding from Arts Council England, in partnership with the Forum Trust and Norwich Games Festival, we'll have four events over the next 12 months in the Forum Norwich, where you can pick up a free copy* of each issue and try the activities with us, or take it home to enjoy. We particularly encourage anyone who is unable to afford a copy, and it would benefit their mental health and wellbeing.

Free copies for charities, communities, groups and individuals

If you’re a charity, community group or individual who could benefit from free copies of our newspaper, please complete the form. We particularly encourage introverted and neurodivergent groups and individuals aged 18+ in Norfolk, UK, as we have Arts Council England funding to donate a minimum of 100 of each issue to adults in the county.

Additional donated copies for the rest of the UK will come from our generous community who buy, pre-order or subscribe to the newspaper. For every copy sold, another one will be donated.

For each issue, we’ll send out as many as we can, and if we become oversubscribed we’ll randomly select as many applications as possible. We aim to make it as fair as possible, and to donate as many as we can. If this form is difficult to use, please email greetings@waywardadventurers.co.uk with all the details in the form.

Who's the newspaper for?

What is Worldbuilding?

Worldbuilding is the process of constructing imaginary worlds. This can include inventing new creatures, characters, environments, cultures, stories and histories. Worldbuilding exists in video games, tabletop games, tv shows, films, books and other popular culture.

Worldbuilding is a large part of our lives. It provides escapism, a way to understand our experiences and to empathise with others, and it grows our imaginations, ambitions and emotions.

We focus on soft worldbuilding and the methods to make more flexible worlds driven by themes, emotions and atmosphere. Personally we love this approach, and it’s a great way to start your worldbuilding journey. It allows you to find and try all sorts of ideas without any rules, and to figure out what you like and don’t like. What you create can be used in both soft and hard worldbuilding, like roleplaying games, larp, comics, written stories and cosplay.
